We develop and deploy IoT-based energy solutions that connect sensors, controllers, and gateways for HVAC, lighting, and power monitoring, fully integrated with ERP for digitalized operations.

We deliver end-to-end solutions — from hardware installation to software integration — using open-source technologies including Home Assistant, Node-RED, TimescaleDB, and Grafana.

We are building a compact, high-performance team and seeking a Project Engineer to manage the complete lifecycle of IoT and building automation implementation projects from planning through commissioning and handover.

 Role Purpose

To plan, execute, and deliver IoT and building automation projects from initial site survey through hardware installation, system integration, software configuration, testing, commissioning, and customer handover.

This role combines project coordination (planning, scheduling, resource management) with hands-on technical execution (site supervision, installation oversight, integration testing, system commissioning) to ensure successful delivery of smart building solutions for commercial clients.

Responsibilities

Project Planning & Coordination

  • Develop detailed project plans with timelines, milestones, and task dependencies using Odoo Project module
  • Coordinate project kickoff meetings and establish clear deliverables with internal teams and clients
  • Schedule site activities, material deliveries, and resource allocation to meet project deadlines
  • Track project progress daily and update schedules based on actual field conditions
  • Identify and communicate project risks, delays, or scope changes proactively to management
  • Manage project documentation including plans, schedules, progress reports, and status updates
  • Coordinate with procurement team to ensure timely availability of equipment and materials

Site Execution & Installation Management

  • Conduct site surveys and technical assessments to validate project feasibility and requirements
  • Supervise hardware installation activities including sensors, controllers, gateways, and network equipment
  • Coordinate with contractors, electricians, HVAC technicians, and building management during installation
  • Verify installation quality against specifications, drawings, and company standards
  • Monitor daily site progress and resolve field issues or conflicts promptly
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and client requirements
  • Document site conditions, installation progress, and any deviations from original plans
  • Manage site logistics including material storage, tool availability, and work area coordination

System Integration & Configuration

  • Assist in configuring communication protocols (Modbus, BACnet, Zigbee, MQTT) between field devices and central systems
  • Support software integration work including Home Assistant setup, Node-RED flow deployment, and database configuration
  • Coordinate between hardware installation teams and software engineers to ensure seamless system integration
  • Verify proper data flow from field devices through gateways to monitoring platforms
  • Document system configurations, device addresses, and network settings
  • Support troubleshooting of integration issues during installation and commissioning phases

Testing & Commissioning

  • Develop and execute test plans to verify system functionality and performance
  • Conduct point-to-point testing of sensors, actuators, and control sequences
  • Verify communication reliability across all integrated systems and protocols
  • Perform system acceptance testing with clients and obtain sign-off on deliverables
  • Lead commissioning activities including system calibration, setpoint configuration, and performance optimization
  • Identify and resolve bugs, configuration errors, or performance issues before handover
  • Create punch lists and manage closeout activities to complete project delivery

Documentation & Handover

  • Prepare comprehensive handover documentation including as-built drawings, configuration files, and user manuals
  • Create operation and maintenance guides for building management teams
  • Document lessons learned, technical challenges, and solutions for knowledge sharing
  • Conduct training sessions for client operations staff on system usage and basic troubleshooting
  • Prepare final project reports including installation records, test results, and warranty information
  • Manage project closeout procedures and archive project documentation properly

Client & Stakeholder Communication

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day project execution and coordination
  • Provide regular project updates to clients, management, and internal teams
  • Manage client expectations regarding timelines, deliverables, and project scope
  • Address client concerns and escalate critical issues to senior management when needed
  • Coordinate site access, building permits, and regulatory approvals with client facilities teams
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with clients, contractors, and vendors

Required Qualifications


Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
  • Fresh graduates with strong academic performance or relevant internship experience are welcome to apply
  • Maximum 3 years of work experience in project management, construction management, system integration, or related fields
  • Internship or project experience in building automation, MEP systems, construction, or industrial projects is highly valued
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver results on time
Technical Skills
  • Understanding of project management fundamentals: scheduling, resource planning, risk management, and progress tracking
  • Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Excel, or Odoo Project module)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings including electrical diagrams, HVAC layouts, and network architectures
  • Basic knowledge of building systems: HVAC, electrical distribution, lighting, or energy management
  • Familiarity with IoT technologies, automation systems, or building management systems is a plus
  • Basic understanding of communication protocols used in building automation (Modbus, BACnet, MQTT) is advantageous
  • Computer literacy including MS Office suite and ability to learn new software tools quickly

  • Physical capability: Willing to work on-site at construction/installation locations, including climbing ladders and working in mechanical rooms
