Computer Vision Engineer Intern
We are looking for a Computer Vision Engineer Intern to join our growing engineering team. You will design, develop, and deploy computer vision solutions, seamlessly integrated into our Smart Building ecosystem. This role involves working closely with our engineering, product, and field teams to deliver innovative features that enhance building automation, security, and occupant experience.
Responsibilities
- Research, design, and implement computer vision solutions for object detection, activity recognition, occupancy monitoring, and anomaly detection in smart building contexts
- Develop scalable CV solutions and integrate them with our IoT data platform and edge devices.
- Optimize solution for real-time performance on resource-constrained hardware (edge AI, embedded systems)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IoT, backend, frontend) to deploy and monitor CV solutions
- Continuously evaluate solution performance, collect datasets, and improve accuracy and robustness and stay updated with the latest advancements in computer vision, edge AI, and smart building technologies
Must Have
- Final year student or Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, AI/ML, or related field
- Strong experience with Python, OpenCV, and deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and also edge AI deployment (NVIDIA Jetson, Coral, or similar)
- Proven track record in developing computer vision solutions (e.g., object detection, segmentation, tracking)
- Hands-on experience with camera hardware, streaming protocols (RTSP, WebRTC)
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and real-time system constraints
- Problem-solving mindset, self-motivated, and able to work in a fast-paced startup environment
Nice to have
- Knowledge of smart building systems (BMS, access control, HVAC, energy monitoring)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Familiarity with IoT protocols and integration (MQTT, REST, Modbus, etc.) is a plus
- Previous work on people counting, occupancy detection, or anomaly detection projects
